Olive oil isn't just an ingredient for healthy culinary dishes; it's an inexpensive, natural way to remove makeup, too. It works similarly to other makeup removers, but it may not be as effective on hard-to-remove makeup, like waterproof mascara.

Olive oil is non-comedogenic, so it shouldn't clog pores or cause any skin problems. However, since it's a greasy substance, olive oil isn't recommended for use on women prone to breakouts or acne. To remove all traces of oil from your face, use a wet washcloth and rinse with water.
