Choosing a Location
Find a location for your reception and ceremony that works for you and you fall in love with. Once you book those locations everything else will fall into place.
Keep the guest list in mind. You want to make sure the room won't be too big or too small for your guest list.
Go to a place that has a great reputation. Ask around. Find out what people are doing. Find out the pros and cons of every place.
Be really mindful of everything that is going on that day. All of your guests that are going to be here and so on. Probably the best place to have a wedding is at home if you had the property for it. So try to find a location that makes you feel at home. The minute you walk into the place you will know. When you feel like you are home that is your site.
Think about you and your fiancée and what vision you had when you first met and talked about getting married. Keep that vision in mind. You will pick the proper place.
You are going to see a lot of banquet halls. You are going to see a lot of different banquet halls. When it is all said and done you are going to go to a place that you love and people that you trust. Go with your gut.
Think out of the box. You don't have to go to a typical reception hall or banquet hall. You can go just about anywhere you like. Maybe it is somewhere you met. Maybe it is on an island somewhere. Relax, enjoy it, kick it around and just make sure the two of you are really comfortable with this.
