Honeymoon No. 2: Prince Charles and Princess Di
Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles had one of the most famous wedding ceremonies to date, so their honeymoon must've been out of this world, right?
Surprisingly, it wasn't as lavish as you might expect! They took an 11-day honeymoon cruise around the Mediterranean on the royal yacht, Britannia. The Britannia was named and launched by Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, and this royal honeymoon was just one of 696 overseas visits in its lifetime.
A cruise appealed to the newlyweds since they could literally get away from the world and the paparazzi. Something that made their honeymoon even more serene was that all orders and instructions on the yacht were written down or given with hand signals -- no shouting allowed. Talk about having some peace and quiet!
