Boxies Marble Shooting

Test your marble-shooting skills with this game.
Test your marble-shooting skills with this game.

Play boxies marble shooting to test your marble-shooting accuracy with this fun indoor game. Grab a box for this fun indoor game which requires marbles and skill.

What You'll Need:

  • Hard, smooth surface
  • Cigar box or cardboard pencil box

Step One: Have one player hold the box on a hard surface with the lid open. The lid should point at the other players, making a ramp for marbles to roll up.

Step Two: Mark a line five feet from the box -- farther for good shooters. Players take turns shooting from the line at the box. Each player gets ten shots.

Step Three: Every marble that rolls up the ramp and drops in the box scores a point. The player with the most points wins.

Now that you've played marbles, go to the next page to find a fun game you can play with cards.

String it Along Relay Game

With this string it along relay game, if you play your cards right you'll win. Try this fun indoor game.

What You'll Need:

  • Ten-foot lengths of string
  • Staplers
  • Old playing cards
  • Friends

To win this crazy relay, your team has to staple 20 cards to a 10-foot length of string, two cards (one player) at a time.

Step One: Line up at least 30 feet from the ten-foot lengths of string and staplers.

Step Two: Be sure each player has one card in each hand. When you shout "Go!" one player from each team races to their string, grabs the stapler and starts stapling the cards to the string.

Step Three: Once they've hooked two to the cord, they run back and tag the next players in line, who run up and do the same. The first team to securely attach 20 cards to that 10-foot length of string (so no cards fall off when you wave the string in the air) wins!

Now that you've played the relay game with your friends, find out how to test your friends' senses on the next page.

Use a blindfold to test what you can feel with your toes.
Use a blindfold to test what you can feel with your toes.

What You'll Need:

  • Blindfold
  • Five different soft, rough, or sticky substances
  • Bare toes

Step One: Have a friend blindfold you so that you can't see. Now, it's time to tickle your toes.

Step Two: And it's up to you to guess just what tickler your friend has decided to use. Is it a feather? Could it be a slice of juicy orange? Maybe it's the nose of a puppy. It's up to you to use your other senses to try and figure it out.

Step Three: Once your turn is complete, return the favor with your friend blindfolded.

Now that you've tested your senses, go to the next page to find out how to play follow the leader using baby steps.

What You'll Need:

  • CD player
  • Grassy play area
  • Friends

Step One: Pick your favorite up-tempo CD and play it loud and clear. Now line up with a group of your friends and shout, "go!"

Step Two: The first person to move from the starting line to the finish line of a long, flat playing field wins. But there's a catch. You can't just run or sprint. You have to walk in baby steps (heel-toe, heel-toe) to the musical beat to win this crazy race.

Alpha Jump Rope

How many flowers, fruits and vegetables can you name in order? Take the Alpha Jump Rope challenge to test your memory and that of your friends. Hop to it!

What You'll Need:

  • Players
  • Jump ropes (one for each player)

Choose a subject such as animals, flowers, names, or fruit. As you all jump rope together, each one of you in turn has to name a member of that group alphabetically (for instance, apple, grape, orange, pear) on every second hop.

If anyone misses while jumping or can't come up with another item, just start over!
