Make a Canada Day Flag with your kids. It's an ideal craft project for kids -- even more ideal on July 1, Canada Day. Wave the Canadian flag you created together using construction paper and paint.

How to Make a Canada Day Flag:

What You'll Need:

  • Red Paint
  • Paint Tray or Pie Tin
  • Large Maple Leaf
  • White Construction Paper
  • Paintbrush
  • 12-Inch Stick
  • Tape

Step One: Pour some paint into a tray or pie tin, and dip the leaf into the paint to coat 1 side of it thoroughly.

Step Two: Press the leaf in the center of the white paper, and carefully lift the leaf up.

Step Three: Paint the outside ends of the paper to make the Canadian flag (see illustration).

Step Four: When the paint is dry, tape your flag to the stick. Proudly wave the Canadian flag to celebrate Canada Day on July 1!
