The beautiful border used for the Sweetest quilted pillow pattern really completes the look of this project. The quilted pillow pattern showcases the Sweet Nectar quilt block and results in a finished pillow that measures about 17 inches square. Download the two-page Sweetest quilted pillow pattern as a PDF, and print out the pattern. You'll need to enlarge the quilt block 125% before you get started.
To make the Sweetest quilted pillow pattern:
Make 1 block. Add a thin inner border and rambling leaves border (see Borders page). Finished size is about 17 inches square.
To make the Sweet Nectar quilt block:
Background: Cut 1. All other pieces: Fuse double-sided webbing to fabrics, and cut 1 each. (Do not add seam allowances to fused pieces.)
Place and fuse all pieces. By machine, applique all fused pieces using narrow zigzag stitch. Use same stitch to make flower stamen, leaf vein, and bird's beak. Sew beads to ends of stamen, and sew on button for hummingbird eye.
