Heart on Your Quilted Bag Pattern

©2007 The Heart on Your Quilted Bag features the

Wear your heart on your bag, instead of your sleeve, with our Heart on Your Bag pattern. This project is a simple drawstring bag, decorated with our beautiful Attic Window quilt block. To make the quilt, download the two-page Heart on Your Quilted Bag pattern as a PDF and print it out. You'll need to enlarge the quilt block at 125%.

To make the Heart on Your Quilted Bag pattern:

Make 1 block, and construct bag with drawstring. Finished size depends on size of bag.

To make the Attic Window quilt block:

Cut:

A: Cut 6, and cut 6 from contrasting fabric. B: Cut 3. Heart: Fuse double-sided webbing to fabric, and cut 1 (do not add seam allowance).

©2007 Here is a bright combination of prints to use in this block.

Stitch:

Sew A to contrast A; make 6. Stitch AA to AA, matching unlike fabrics, then stitch on B. Make 2. Stitch AA to B, with contrast triangle at bottom, then stitch on AA, with contrast triangle at top. Stitch rows together, with the bottom row sewn on starting with B square. Fuse heart to center square. By hand or machine, appliqué heart using narrow blanket stitch.
