HOW TO MAKE A RIBBON ART WEAVING CRAFT:
Step 1: Cut ribbon into 9-inch strips -- you'll need five alltogether. Use remaining ribbon to cut seven 7-inch strips. Cover your work surface with a sheet of aluminum foil.
Step 2: Place the five 9-inch strips on the foil side by side, vertically.
Step 3: Starting 1 inch from the top of the strips, weave a 7-inch strip over and under each ribbon horizontally. Position the 7-inch strip so that 1 inch of each end is left unwoven.
Step 4: Repeat the weaving technique with the remaining 7-inch strips. When you are finished, you should have a 1-inch unwoven border around the edges of the ribbon rectangle.
Step 5: Remove the tape from one side, and weave each end of the ribbon back into a square. Glue in place.
Step 6: Thin about a 1/4 cup of craft glue with 1 tablespoon of water. Use an old paintbrush to coat the woven ribbon rectangle on both sides with thinned glue. Let it dry overnight.
