Stencil art is a creative way to recycle -- use the lids from old coffee cans to help you make cool geometric-patterned artwork.
What You'll Need:
- Plastic coffee can lids
- Drawing paper
- Colored pencils
Step 1: Draw a geometric shape -- a triangle, octagon, square, rectangle, and circle -- on several plastic coffee can lids.
Step 2: Have an adult cut out each shape from the lids.
Step 3: Use the lid with the cutout shape as your stencil. Place the stencil on paper, and outline or fill in the shape with colored pencils. Use the stencils to color in geometric patterns on paper to make gift wrapping.
You can also use the stencils to make geometric illustrations, like a round clown with a triangular hat and square hands and feet.
