Draw a picture -- and then turn it into a painting -- with these magic pencils.
What You'll Need:
- Water-soluble colored pencils (available at art supply stores)
- Drawing paper
Step 1: Draw a lion on a sheet of drawing paper using yellow and brown water-soluble colored pencils. (They feel and look just like colored pencils.)
Step 2: Wash over your picture using a damp paintbrush. The colors blend just like watercolor paints.
Step 3: Clean your paintbrush and let the painting dry before you change from blending one color to another color. Add other details.
Water scenes are also fun to paint using water-soluble pencils. Draw a boat at a pier by the lake, using blues for the water. Then use the blending technique to create the boat's reflection in the water. Experiment with other scenes and colors.
