In this indoor craft, nail down a fun metal hardware sculpture. As hard as it is to believe, you can make a great sculpture with nothing more than nuts, bolts, screws, and other hardware in this easy kids' craft.
What You'll Need:
- Hardware (washers, nails, nuts, screws, bolts, etc.)
- Household cement
How to Make Hardware Sculpture:
Step 1: Go through spare hardware, or head for a hardware store to get started. Pick out a good-size washer, some tiny nails, drapery hooks, and anything else that captures your imagination.
Step 2: Glue the hardware together using household cement. (Be sure the room is well ventilated, and keep the glue out of your eyes.)
Step 3: Want to make a ladybug? Try a washer with six tiny nail legs and miniature nut eyes. A spider? Bend eight long nails and attach them to a washer, with a rounded nut for the spider's silvery head.
You are only limited by your supplies and your imagination. Hitting the nail on the head has never been more fun!
