If you color outside the lines with the acrylic on acrylic craft, it really doesn't matter. They're your guide for coloring in a design, and then you erase the lines anyway.
What You'll Need:
- Scrap paper
- 1/8-inch-thick sheet of clear acrylic (available at hobby stores or home
- centers; cut to fit your desk top)
- Grease pencil
- Acrylic paints
- Paper towels
How to make the acrylic on acrylic craft:
Step 1: Cover your work surface with scrap paper.
Step 2: Use the grease pencil to draw a design on the sheet of acrylic. Create a theme to match your room, hobbies, or interests.
Step 3: Turn the acrylic sheet over on the paper with the drawing side down. Using the grease pencil outlines as your guide, fill in the design with acrylic paints. Start painting in the middle of the sheet first, then work toward the edges. Let the paint dry.
Step 4: Turn the sheet over and wipe off the grease pencil using a paper towel.
Step 5: Place the acrylic sheet on your desk, paint side down.
