Waxing is painful and causes ingrown hairs, but the worst side effect is extremely irritated skin. You shouldn't expose your freshly waxed skin to the sun, exfoliate the area, take a steamy shower or sit in a hot tub for 48 hours. So, basically, if you're headed to the beach (or plan on spending any time outdoors) you'll be severely restricted as to what you can do. Also, if you wax your bikini area, you run into a whole new set of problems. Because of the increased sensitivity and susceptibility of bacteria to the area, you'll want to avoid any intimacy for a few days, which is not the best side effect to have to endure on your honeymoon.
