Teach your kids to make Multicolored Crayons, a great indoor craft project for kids. Don't throw away your old crayons. Recycle them into new multicolored crayons, and draw pictures that change colors with each stroke. How to Make Multicolored Crayons:What You'll Need:
- Old Crayons
- Microwave-Safe Container
- Paper Cupcake Liners
Step One: Peel off the wrappers from old crayons. Break up the crayons into 1/2-inch pieces. Put the pieces into a microwave-safe container.
Step Two: Melt the crayons in the microwave on a high setting for 3 to 4 minutes. Watch the crayons until most of them are melted.
Step Three: Pour the melted crayons in a double-layered paper cupcake liner. Be very careful -- the crayon wax will be very hot.
Step Four: Let the wax cool. (You can put it in the freezer for a few minutes.) Pop the new crayon out of the liner to make great multicolored art.
