©2007 Publications International, Ltd. The Hearts Quilt Border Pattern

The Hearts Quilt Border Pattern makes a lovely quilt border, featuring a vine that blossoms with small, delicate hearts. Download the Hearts Quilt Border Pattern as a PDF to print out the pattern. You'll need to enlarge the quilt block at 125%.

To make the Hearts Quilt Border Pattern:

Cut strips to needed lengths; stitch strips together. Use bias tape or make bias strips with a bias tape maker. Stitch bias strip around border, creating a wavy line. Sew right sides of hearts to fusible side of webbing; stitch, clip curves, and trim seam allowances. Make a small cut in webbing, and turn. Fuse hearts to sides of bias tape. At corners, fuse 4 hearts point to point to create a flower. By hand or machine, applique all hearts using narrow blanket stitch.
