These Hang Loose earrings are fun to make -- and simple. After you've learned how to make these pairs of danglers, use other types of beads to make your own unique beaded beauties.

What You'll Need:

  • 8 inches of light-gauge, silver beading wire
  • 10 seed beads in various colors
  • 8 bugle beads in an assortment of colors
  • 1 pair of silver hook earring wires

  • Wire cutters
  • Needle-nose pliers

Step 1: Cut a four-inch length of beading wire.

Step 2: Alternate threading seed beads and bugle beads onto the wire until you have four seed beads and three bugle beads.

Step 3: Shape the beaded wire into a triangle, and twist together the two strands of wire that meet at the top of the triangle.

Step 4: Now string one bugle bead and one seed bead onto the twisted wire, and clip any excess wire 1/2 inch above last bead. Use the needle-nose pliers to form a loop at the top for hanging.

Step 5: Slightly open the loop on an earring hook with the pliers. Slip the loop of the beaded wire into the earring hook loop; close the loop with the needle-nose pliers.

Step 6: Repeat all steps for the matching earring.
